"Turning a blind eye"

Films: Don't Breathe (2016)

Alias: The Blind Man

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Who ever heard of a blind serial killer? That must be an absolute chump when it comes to actually hunting people down. But alas, if there's anything we should have learned from bats and Greenland sharks, it's that not every hunter needs their eyes to find you…

History: Norman Langstrom is a looney blind man living by himself with his guard dog for company. Rumor has it that within his basement is a large reward, something any burglar would salivate over. But what they don’t know is that he's insane for a reason. A while ago, a drunken girl ran over his daughter and used her money to get away with it, breaking Norman's mind and making him kidnap her so that she may get impregnated into giving him a new child. That's...deeply messed up.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After killing just about every intruder, Norman is brought down by the survivor, who knocks him out cold while getting the money. However, he is still alive, and could very much try to enact vengeance again.

Powers/Abilities: Heightened senses in place of sight.

Weakness: Anything conventional. Also, blindness.

Scariness Factor: 4-Norman is more than just a grumpy blind old man defending his home. He's a rapist with a twisted idea of justice, and those pale featureless eyes of his make him look almost like a ghost. You got in easily, but he'll make sure you never get out.

Trivia: -Norman was played by Stephen Lang, a Broadway actor who honestly got a more memorable role here than he did as the bad guy in "Avatar".

-This film's director, Fede Alvarez, made this film as a remedy for all the criticisms of his previous horror effort, the 2013 "Evil Dead" movie. They certainly are like day and night.

The 'hold-your-breath' thing finally works.

"My imaginary friend, is that you?"
Even the ghost haunting this place is blind!

Thats nothing. That guy tried mugging a rhino at one point. Still less deadly.
I wouldn't want to tell you the surprise he brings...

The less we talk about this, the better.
